This place was magical, if I had unlimited funds I would blow it all here. Super happy with the selection of healthy foods! I tried the edamame salad and the chicken salad both were delicious and not too saucy. I also tasted the ice cream and the truffle cream cheese and they were delicious, I really want to come back and get a bagel sandwich!
I love Ouri's they have the best meat and prepared food. The bread is delicious. Also, their coffee is really yummy Everyone at the checkout they are so nice and I met the owner and he's really really nice kosher meets in New York City
5 stars anything less is from a HATER!!! This is my supermarket I love how it's the New York Erewhon .. 3rd ave is turning into a baby Madison .. I love the chunky monkey smoothie shoutout to my girls behind the bar. Me and my girlfriend love the packs of chicken wings for $10 ... I wanna try the burgers next - the staff are great it's very clean. It's what whole foods wish they were but without the tech bro vests. It's a fashion show when you shop here!!!!! Upper east side for life .. oh yeah the guys behind the seafood market will give you the biggest red snapper $40 can buy but make sure your house can air out because it will smell like carp for two weeks
Love Ouris market! The produce is highest quality, fresh and great variety. Butcher and fish also has high quality food. The prices are high but not much different compared with other 'gourmet' markets like Citarella.
I do not live in the UES, my friend Rochelle does and shops here for fish, specifically, salmon and hummus. Thus, this review is simply a quick visit based on my curiosity as to how UES shop. To put it simply, Ouri's, is an upscale Kosher market. It carries everything from fruit, to salads, to Mediterranean cuisine, you get the picture. Rochelle picks up a dragonfruit and exclaims "Look how gorgeous"... Yes it is but the prices are not.. Seriously, ground beef at @$18 a pound? $60 for a pound of baby lamb chops?! I'm probably out of my depth here but I cannot justify paying these exorbitant prices.. I understand the need to buy Kosher...and bight quality.. The store's product is nicely presented but the layout is a bit compact; entering the store to the right, the checkout area is tight as you try to navigate to produce. There is a saying "When in Rome you do as the Roman's do". I guess that might be applicable to supermarket shopping on the UES.
There's a new supermarket Ouri's just opened on E67th and 3rd Ave. It's a big space. They sell fruits, meats, vegetables, canned goods, prepared packaged meals like salad, packed cookies and chocolates. They also have fresh pastries at the front. A lot of items don't have prices listed on them yet. They're still stacking the shelves. It looks so new and clean. They are kosher. They close at 4pm on Fridays and are closed all day on Saturdays for Sabbath. Opens at 8am Sun-Fri.
